Return & Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your order, you may request a return in accordance with the terms below.

14-Day Right of Withdrawal — European Union

If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you have the legal right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason.

The 14-day period begins on the day you, or a person designated by you (other than the carrier), receives the goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, please contact us at storyshelf.srl@gmail.com with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel your purchase.

After notifying us of your withdrawal, you must send the goods back to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date on which you notified us of your decision to withdraw.

The returned item must be handled only to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning. You may be liable for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary for this purpose.

You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, unless the goods are defective, damaged, incorrect, or we have agreed otherwise.

Voluntary 30-Day Returns

In addition to your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, we offer a voluntary 30-day return policy.

To be eligible for a voluntary return, the item must be returned in the same condition in which you received it, including being unworn or unused, with its original tags and packaging where applicable. You must also provide proof of purchase.

This voluntary 30-day return policy does not limit or affect your statutory consumer rights under applicable EU or Romanian law.

Items returned without contacting us first may be delayed or rejected.

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If you receive an item that is defective, damaged, or different from what you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible at storyshelf.srl@gmail.com, including your order number and photographs of the issue where appropriate.

We will assess the issue and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer protection law.

Your statutory rights concerning defective or non-conforming goods are not affected by this Return Policy.

Non-Returnable Items

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to certain types of goods and circumstances provided by applicable law, including, where applicable:

• Goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalized goods;
• Goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
• Sealed goods which are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene and which have been unsealed after delivery;
• Other goods or services for which the right of withdrawal is legally excluded.

Gift cards and other products may be subject to specific terms stated on the product page.

Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer rights provided by EU or Romanian law.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.

If you wish to receive a different product or size, the fastest option is to return the original item, where eligible, and place a new order separately.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved.

Where a refund is due, it will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed with you.

For withdrawals under the EU 14-day right, we will reimburse the payments received from you, including the cost of the standard delivery option you originally selected. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned goods or you have provided evidence that you have sent them back, whichever occurs first.

If you selected a more expensive delivery option than the least expensive standard delivery method we offer, the additional cost of that upgrade is not refundable.

For voluntary returns outside the statutory withdrawal period, refunds will be processed within 10 business days after the returned item has been received and approved.

Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take additional time for the refunded amount to appear in your account.
